8th time..

  • Hello there…may peace be upon you…I’m just feeling tired lately, not feeling so well…I’m having an exam soon…so, I’m quite busy, tired and stressed [of course]…
  • This times, I want to talk about 2 things which were came out lately when me and my friends are sitting together back in class…
  • 1st, as pilots you have to be very focus on your duty…you were flying a million dollars type of transportation…you have to be focus, discipline, alert and making no mistake…but sometimes incidents do happen…nobody wants it right?? [so do I] eventually, there are many causes, why did the incidents happen…sometimes, it may because of the pilots itself, the air traffic controllers (ATC), the engineers, the aircraft equipment malfunctioning, and sometimes the passengers where the causes…there were many cases happened where it’s not the pilots fault… there’s an incidents happened in Taipei in 31st October 2000, where the ATC were dumb, and doesn’t want to take the blame instead put it on pilots…the lights on the runway and taxiways supposedly to be on [since by the regulations said the lights off means the runway or the taxiways is inactive] instead it were off…the pilots took a turn into the active taxiways since he follows the taxiways lights, instead of going into the correct runway, he actually went into the inactive runway which were closed for about two weeks already…that inactive runway were under construction, and there were heavy machine in the middle of the runway…as the throttle were push and the speed achieved, they saw the machine in the middle of the runway…the captain trying to rotate [pull up the aircraft] but they couldn’t made it and BANG!! towards the machine, pilots died, some passengers were injured, some died in that incidents…the ATC should told the pilots that they coming in into the wrong runway as the lights should be off and the runways should be closed…the investigations carries on, and it’s clearly where the faulty of the ATC…but they put it on pilots…

  • Taipei Incidents

  • another cases, as we all know the incidents of September 11th, the pilots doesn’t know that will be his last day of his life…as he took off from the airport, who knows the passengers behind were hijacking them and fly into the twin tower of the trade center…who were blame in that case?? Of the course the worlds and Americans [some of them] said it was terrorist job…and what about incidents happen years ago, Boeing 737-400 crash landing in Tanjung Kupang, Johor…the aircraft were hijacked and crashed 6feet under!!! Gulp!! Err in the investigations, as the black box tape been heard off, no sounds of the hijackers but then sounds off clicking the gun and shooting the pilots were heard…the pilots & all on boards died…

  • 9/11 evidance

  • therefore, my friend and I, had made an equation regarding what will happen to pilots especially [since we are pilot to be] if something or someone screw up and do mistake in aviation, flying specifically…

ATC screw up = Pilots died
Engineers screw up = Pilots died
Aircraft screw up = Pilots died
Passengers screw up = Pilots died

Conclusion
Any of the above screw up = Pilots died

DAMN!!

  • 2nd, there's another thing that I want to share…if you think our jobs as pilots were glamorous and money making…think again…you are totally wrong…why did I said so?? it is unglamorous because we just a driver [hahaha]…instead of driving a car and named Driver, we drive [& fly] the airplane and were called Pilots…we wear the same uniforms as any other drivers…we’ve just have a Wings on top of our pockets…that’s all…beside that’s we’ve just the same…we were study like hell, its like doing a degree course in just 18months, while others were sitting nicely for 3yearsbut we made it!! That’s the only thing those we pilots were proud of…all the sweat and tears were relief by the day of getting the Wings…another fact is, this job were not money making, why, because at the starting point of our career, we just had basic salary around $4 500 per month, [as in inline training, with 1bar on shoulders] after that when we up to second officer [2bars on shoulders], we still get the $4 500 basically but with flying allowance roughly around $8 000-$11 000 per month, then we get into the first officer [3bars on shoulders] $4 500-$8 000 basically plus allowance roughly we will get $14 000-$20 000 per month, and when become a captain/commander of the flight, I don’t to talk about it is far away to go…from 1bar to 3bars, it take few years to achieved…with that sum of money, and our current economy, I don’t think its money making...

'we have a problem!'

  • but a doctor, they were making lots of money and glamorous…why?? Because if one patient were treated and the treatment were cost about $10 000…lets say on that particular day there were 10patients…it’s already $100 000, just on that day!!! Just saving 10lifes that day!! Alright, then, they working just for 20days per month, can you calculate how much their salary for just a month…we, pilots, could not even reached the amount of salary in our life even we are carrying passengers life behind us, and safely bringing them from one point to another points…we’ve not just bring one life but we carrying hundreds of life behind us…still our job are not glamorous and money making…it is not fair…
  • believe in these doctors

  • why I become a pilot?? I love flying instead…bring out someone to their loves one…bring out joy in their face…bring them to a certain place where they are need to…connectivity between two language, culture, races, nation, and the world…

  • [p/s: 1st articles were just for fun reading since we are having an exam soon and the equation came out since we are damned stressed, yes sometimes it’s not our fault!! 2nd articles were argument and safety talks that I attended recently…that’s all for now and good day, may peace be upon you…adios & smile :)]
